Vasculitis shares much in common with other autoimmune diseases. Research on any particular one usually, but not always, applies to the other autoimmune diseases. They have similar underlying causes and conditions, and consequently similar ways of dealing with them.
The main symptom that labels an autoimmune disease as vasculitis is inflammation of the blood vessels. Depending on what blood vessels are affected, or more precisely what organs are affected, different symptoms develop. Kidneys, lungs gastrointestinal, nerves, sinuses, eyes can all attacked. A classic symptom is the purplish red dots appearing on the skin. Extremely poor circulation to the extremities can be caused by vasculitis. And pain is often involved in vasculitis.
Anti-inflammatory supplements that may also help with pain are among the more important supplements to consider taking. Such as Grape Seed Extract which also supports the vascular system, MSM, Cox2 inhibitors and enzymes. And of course it is always important to be working on the immune system, getting it modulated and working in a healthy manner.
