How To Tell If You Have Candida - And Whether You Need To Use A Staged Approach Or A Simple Approach To Eliminate Candida Overgrowth

There is a very simple and accurate test that enables you to see if you have candida. We call it the Spit Test. This simple spit test can determine if you have candida overgrowth. And how extensive that overgrowth is. Here’s what you do. Put a clear glass of water by your bed. First thing in the morning when you wake up, work up some saliva, and spit into the glass of water. Keep an eye on the water for half an hour up to one hour - especially the first few minutes. If you have a candida yeast infection, you will see one of three, or even all three of the following:

1. Strings (legs) hanging down from the saliva.

2. Nasty looking saliva at the bottom of the glass.

3. Cloudy specks suspended in the water.

The more you see of any or all of these, and the faster you see it, the worse the overgrowth. So here’s how to tell if you need to do the more extensive staged approach or whether you can get by using the simple approach.

If after you spit into the water, within 3 minutes you see stuff falling out of the saliva, whether it’s legs starting to hang down, cloudy specks showing up in the water, or stuff sinking down to the bottom, you’ve got it bad and need to do the staged approach.

If it takes longer than three minutes for anything to show up, it is not as extensive and you can probably get away with using the simple approach to beating candida yeast infections. If the saliva just floats on top and the water stays perfectly clear, you probably don’t have candida overgrowth.

Candida concentrates in saliva overnight so this test is most accurate first thing in the morning, but you could see something even during the day if you have fairly extensive overgrowth.
